July 12-13, 2008:
DAVA will be participating in the "AVON WALK for Breast Cancer" (www.avonwalk.org). She has begun her training for the event and is currently accepting donations toward the cause. You can sponsor her efforts with a donation by visiting the Avon Walk website. Choose the "Make A Donation" section and then "Donate To A Participant". DAVA is located in the San Francisco 2008 area of the list.
You can also obtain information regarding becoming a participant yourself.
Please show your support for the research to fight against breast cancer!

DAVA will be performing her original poetry at the fundraising event benefitting "The Vagina Monologues" (info) Marin performance which will benefit M.A.W.S (Marin Abused Women's Services).This benefit event is a Variety Show featuring many song, dance and music performances.
Admission tickets are sold at the door. $10-$20 sliding scale.

December 1, 2007:
DAVA hosted a Toy Drive Birthday Party benefitting the Oakland Children's Hospital/Reasearch Center. www.childrenshospitaloakland.org
The event included improv performances by many of DAVA close friends who are talented Musicians also. New toys and books were presented in place of traditional birthday gifts and are going to be distributed to the children in the hospital for Christmas.

DAVA was in attendance at the fundraiser event in Oakland benefitting Camp Winnarainbow (www.campwinnarainbow.org), hosted by "Doc Sue" and featured Wavy Gravy.

November 29,2007:
DAVA went back to clownin' around as "Tickles the Clown" for a local daycare, where she volunteered her time (and face painting skills) to raise additional toys for her Toy Drive.
|
Dec. 2008: DAVA's 50th Toy Drive was such a successful event with a great toy turnout, made even better only by the gathering of the best group of people and music; that DAVA has decided to host the "2nd Annual 50th Toy Drive" next December as well. Thanks to all who came and participated. Hope to see you all again at the next one.
